| | Apl.de.ap Solo Album coming out mid 2009.
In anticipation of the Black Eyed Pea's Apl.de.ap's upcoming solo album, many people all over the Internet have been searching for an exclusive track "You Can Dream." This track is a sample of Apl.de.ap's collobaration with talent from the Philippines for his new album. We had the opportunity to get footage of this catchy tune at last year's Apl Foundation benefit concert with a special live guitar performance by legendary Philippine guitartist Boy "Florante" De Leon.
"You Can Dream" will be the first single from Apl.de.ap's You Can Dream coming out mid-2009. The actual track has ABS-CBN pop star Billy Crawford singing the chorus. In fact, the Apl/Crawford duo performed the song live for ABS-CBN's Wowowee. When Apl brought the song to the United States for his foundation's benefit concert, he also enlisted the skills of master folk artist Florante.
Florante became famous in the 1970's with as a folk artist, singer, and guitarist. His first hit was "Handog" (Offer) was followed by a multitude of albums and collobarations spanning many decades. Florante is known for his talent not only in guitar playing and singing, but also his stage presence. Known as “one-man-show” with his guitar, Florante has been cited as one of the most enjoyable Philippine guitarists to see live. | | | |
